CITV (short for Children's ITV or Children's Independent Television) was a British television channel from ITV Digital Channels Ltd, part of the ITV Network.
It broadcasts content from the CITV archive, as well as commissions and acquisitions. It airs daily from 6:00am to 9:00pm (formerly 6:00am to 6:00pm). The channel has averaged 200,000 viewers everyday having a 0.8 share of the tv audience in the UK. CITV also aired Monday to Friday afternoons from 3:15pm to 5:00pm, straight after the ITV News Summary as well as ITV regional news summary, and sometimes alongside either the public information film or the BBC's award-winning shorts.
CITV ceased broadcasting on 20 August 2023.
